101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell to hold Virtual Town Hall with Sergeant Major of the Army

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell will hold a virtual town hall meeting Monday, August 3rd, at 6:00pm CT to discuss COVID-19 Coronavirus and other topics.

Fort Campbell will host Sgt. Maj. of the Army Michael Grinston, the 16th sergeant major of the Army. Also on the panel will be Maj. Gen. Brian Winski and Command Sgt. Maj. Bryan Barker, the commanding general and command sergeant major, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell.

“Soldiers and Families at Fort Campbell have been at the forefront of the Army’s operations overseas and at home for decades, and the battle against COVID-19 is no different, said Grinston.

101st Airborne Division beats 82nd Airborne Division to win online unit pride title

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) defeated the 82nd Airborne Division in the finals of an online unit pride competition, on April 22nd, 2020.

The Screaming Eagles and their supporters around the world cast 93 more votes than the All Americans to win the sports bracket-style competition and bragging rights as the Unit Madness 2020 Challenge winners. In all, participants cast more than 98,000 votes on Facebook and Twitter in the final round alone.

“It was no surprise that two of the most iconic symbols of freedom were the finalists in the competition. Both patches, as well as all of the others in the competition, have a rich proud legacy that we strive to build upon every day until our next rendezvous with destiny,” said Command Sgt. Maj. Bryan Barker, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) command sergeant major.

City of Clarksville, Montgomery County took on Fort Campbell in Annual Tobacco Stick Softball Game

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts recently joined forces with Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett in an effort to put together a softball team made up of city and county employees who could compete with the always hard-to-beat Fort Campbell team.

The occasion was the 10th Annual Tobacco Stick Softball Game, a friendly afternoon of softball at Heritage Park that promotes more camaraderie than competition among our local government employees, and the Soldiers that serve our nation.

The best of Clarksville-Montgomery County and Fort Campbell came out to compete in the 10th Annual Tobacco Stick Softball Game.

Annual Tobacco Stick Softball Game, Fort Campbell vs. Clarksville and Montgomery County, June 1st

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – On Saturday, June 1st, 2019, Fort Campbell Soldiers take on City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Employees in the 10th Annual Tobacco Stick Game.

Hosted by the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce, the game is set to begin at 10:00am.

The annual Tobacco Stick Softball Game is held to help create goodwill, fun, and community relationship building between Fort Campbell soldiers and City of Clarksville and Montgomery County employees.
