Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum

Nashville, TNThe Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has set its 2020 roster of new exhibitions, aimed at entertaining and enlightening country music audiences and interpreting the ever-evolving story of the music and the people who make it.

The annual exhibition American Currents: State of the Music will return in 2020, to offer insight into the latest chapter of country’s ongoing evolution as a popular art form. In addition, the museum will devote separate exhibits to the lives and careers of Country Music Hall of Fame member Bill Anderson, award-winning powerhouse vocalist Martina McBride and acclaimed artist Chris Stapleton.

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County presents City of Clarksville with Poster

 

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County TennesseeClarksville, TN – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County has presented Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts with a framed custom-designed print celebrating Clarksville and the Habitat mission of partnering with local families to build affordable housing.

Austin Peay State University part of state’s inaugural Get Food Smart TN

Austin Peay State University - APSUNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) announced the first group of participants in Get Food Smart TN – a statewide initiative aimed at reducing food waste.

The inaugural class, which includes Austin Peay State University, was recognized on April 20th, 2018 at an event hosted by former TDEC Commissioner Bob Martineau and TDEC Assistant Commissioner Dr. Kendra Abkowitz Brooks at the William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower in Nashville.

“Serve To Remember” Memorial Concert: “America Sings!”

 

The 10th Anniversary of 9/11

Hands On ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – “America Sings!” will be held Sunday, September 11th, 2011 at the Austin Peay University, Clement Auditorium from 12:00pm to 3:30pm.

Many of the performers have served in the military, come from military families, or volunteered their time playing for our troops both nationally and internationally.  They are ALL donating their time and talents for this effort, which will be submitted to The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) for their “10th Anniversary Challenge”, allowing Clarksville to qualify for a grant to be used to support future 9/11 events and projects. «Read the rest of this article»
