Fort Campbell’s D.W. Recreation Center September Activities

There will be a Post Wide Dominoes Tournament for all eligible MWR patrons on September 9th at 2:00pm.  Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers. Sign up the day of the event.

Fort Campbell’s D.W. Recreation Center’s August Activities

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – D.W. Recreation Center knows that August can be the hottest month of the year and they have some great activities planned to help keep you cool.

On August 3rd, DW Recreation Center will present “Run For Your Wife”. This will be a dinner theatre production of this play. Dinner will start at 6:00pm with the show starting at 7:00pm. The cost is $15.00 for single tickets and $25.00 for couples. Fort Campbell’s Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers St. Louis Retreat

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) is pleased to offer this Single Soldier Retreat to St. Louis on July 20th-22nd.

You will depart D.W. Recreation Center on July 20th at 11:00am and travel to St. Louis. While you are there you will visit Six Flags and attend a Major League Baseball Game to watch the St. Louis Cardinals play the Chicago Cubs.

You will return to D.W. Recreation Center on July 22nd. The cost for this trip is $50.00 which covers entrance to Six Flags and the baseball game. Soldiers will need a three day pass. «Read the rest of this article»

The Recreation Center will be open from 9:00am until 6:00pm for you to enjoy the computer lab; play pool, table tennis, video games or a musical instrument; or watch a movie before you go out to the Division Parade Field for the Carnival and fireworks.

On June 3rd, DW Recreation Center will be holding Talent Tryouts at 3:00pm. They’re looking for all types of talented Soldiers and adult Family members to be in a variety show in August. If you or someone you know is talented (sing, dance, play a musical instrument, etc…) encourage them to come for the Talent Tryouts.

EDGE! October Classes

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – The EDGE! (Experience, Develop, Grow, Excel) offers out-of-school opportunities for 12-18 year old youth to experience, develop, grow and excel by participating in “cutting edge” art, fitness, life skills and adventure activities.

Learn how to cook traditional German foods with Oktoberfest Cooking on Wednesdays, October 3rd, 17th, and 24th from 4:30pm to 6:00pm at Cole Park Commons. There are 12 spaces available for this class. All good cooks must develop instrumental skills in kitchen safety and health, so be prepared to learn some life skills while having fun and trying some delicious new foods! Enjoy Summer Activities with EDGE!

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Child, Youth & School Services (CYSS) is offering wonderful programs during the month of June for Fort Campbell youth. Experience, Develop, Grow, and Excel (EDGE) is an opportunity for kids to experience cutting edge art, fitness, life skills and adventure programs.

Come get Tangled every Monday during June at Taylor Youth Center, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. If you like to doodle then you will love this fun pen, pencil and ink art class. The art of “tangling” is a creative art form where you can develop focus and dexterity. We provide the supplies, and participants bring creativity. Participants will take home a portfolio of patterns, and skills they can use to design journals, scrapbooks, clothing, and more.
