Knoxville, TN – For the 41st time, Tennessee and Texas will do battle in women’s basketball. The Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team leads the series, 25-15, after winning the past two meetings.
The No. 17/19 Lady Vols (7-0) play host to the Longhorns (4-4) at Thompson-Boling Arena in a 1:02pm CT contest on Sunday. The match-up is part of the 10-game Big 12-SEC Challenge, with Sunday’s tilts closing out the week-long competition.
The Lady Vols are playing their fifth of six straight games on Rocky Top after opening with two of the season’s first three contests on the road.
Knoxville, TN – In the first meeting between the teams, No. 20/25 Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team defeated Air Force, 81-54, Sunday afternoon in Thompson-Boling Arena to open the season 7-0 for fifth time in the past 10 years.
With a season-high crowd of 8,032 looking on, nine different players scored for the Big Orange. UT tallied 56 points inside the paint, had 23 points created from 22 Air Force (1-7) turnovers and shot a season-high 54.8 percent from the field. UT knocked down a sizzling 66.7 percent of its shots in the second quarter and 64.7 percent in the third period.

Knoxville, TN – The Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team (3-0), who are receiving votes in both the AP and USA Today Coaches Polls, welcome in-state foe Tennessee State (1-0) to Thompson-Boling Arena on Thursday night, November for a 6:00pm CT match-up.
After opening with two of its first three games on the road, Tennessee takes up residence on Rocky Top for a six-game home stand. After facing TSU, the Lady Vols welcome Stetson (November 19th), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (November 26th), Air Force (December 1st), No. 22/15 Texas (December 8th) and Colorado State (December 11th) to The Summitt. The Air Force game is UT’s Salute to Service game, while the Texas match-up is part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

The Lady Vols enter the game with a 2-0 record after winning their home opener and head coach Kellie Harper‘s first regular-season game at Thompson-Boling Arena vs. Central Arkansas on Thursday night, 63-36. UT opened the Kellie Harper era on the road last Tuesday evening with a hard-fought 72-68 victory over East Tennessee at sold-out Freedom Hall in Johnson City.

Knoxville, TN – The Tennessee Lady Vols (19-12, 7-9 SEC) are the No. 11 seed in the Albany Region and will meet No. 6 seed UCLA (20-12, 12-6 Pac-12) at College Park, MD, on Saturday in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
Tip-off is slated for approximately 12:00pm CT at the XFINITY Center on the University of Maryland campus. The game will be televised by ESPN2 and carried by the Lady Vol Radio Network.
In the other first round game in College Park, No. 3 seed Maryland (28-4) will meet No. 14 seed Radford (26-6) at 10:00am CT on Saturday. The winner of those games will advance to the second round and play in College Park on Monday. Tip time and TV info. are to be determined.

Including this match-up, the Lady Vols have three contests remaining during the regular season. The next two are at home (No. 13/13 South Carolina, Vanderbilt) and the last one is away (Ole Miss).
The Lady Vols enter this contest having won two of their past three games and five of their last seven, including victories over LSU, Florida, Vanderbilt, Auburn and RV/RV Missouri.
College Station, TX – The Tennessee Lady Vols outscored No. 21/22 Texas A&M 20-17 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to overcome an Aggies team that scored 27 points on nearly 70-percent shooting in the third quarter to send the Lady Vols to a 79-62 setback in Reed Arena.
