Fort Campbell’s Blanchfield Army Community Hospital welcomes new Commander

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Commander Col. George “Ned” Appenzeller relinquished command to Col. Telita Crosland Monday afternoon during a Change of Command Ceremony on the hospital’s parade field.

In addition to her Doctorate of Medicine, Crosland has degrees in public health and national resource strategy. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a recipient of the Surgeon General’s “A” proficiency designator.

Emergency Center construction changes access, waiting area at Fort Campbell’s Blanchfield Army Community Hospital

 

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – As construction and renovation enter a new phase at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH), the Emergency Center’s reception and waiting area will relocate February 5th, and will no longer be accessible from inside the hospital until additional renovations are complete.

Entry into the reception and waiting area is via a ramp adjacent to the gray modular building on Joel Drive, between the old and new Emergency Center entrances. Patients seeking emergency care should still park in the Emergency Center parking lot or the overflow parking lot, which will remain unchanged. «Read the rest of this article»

Fort Campbell’s Blanchfield Army Community Hospital to observe Martin Luther King Jr. birthday

 

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – In honor of the national observance of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) personnel will observe the federal holiday Monday, January 19th. All Soldier and Patient-Centered Homes (primary care services) are scheduled to operate on a normal schedule Friday, January 16th.

Fort Campbell Center to treat Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) nears completion

 

Fort Campbell, KY -The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund announced today that the construction of the third in a series of nine (NICoE) Satellite Centers has reached a new milestone with a watertight roof and 90% of plumbing and electric work complete.

When finished, the center, named Intrepid Spirit, will provide the most advanced diagnosis and treatment protocols for wounded, injured and ill military heroes while creating effective programs for rehabilitation and recovery. The centers are designed to focus on injuries of the brain, most notably Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), the signature wounds of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, in our wounded military troops.
