Clarksville Department of Electricity says Colder Weather causes Electric Bills to Increase

 

Clarksville Department of Electricity - CDE - CDE LightbandClarksville, TN – According to CDE Lightband, current residential bills increased on average by about 30 percent from the previous billing period due to the colder weather Clarksville experienced beginning around Thanksgiving.

Based on National Weather Service statistics maintained by CDE Lightband, December was about 26 percent colder than November. The last week of November and the month of December also saw several morning temperatures in the teens. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville Department of Electricity (CDE) becomes Green Certified

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – On Monday afternoon, October 7th, Clarksville Department of Electricity (CDE) became the first City Department to earn Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification.

CDE has supported the CMC Green Certification Program since it began in the spring of 2011 when they agreed to give presentations about energy savings as a part of the program’s workshops.
