Dunbar Cave State Natural AreaClarksville, TN – Every year the Friends of Dunbar Cave (FODC) sponsors the “Cooling at the Cave.”  The event is spearheaded by Barbara Wilbur, and is intended to be a throwback to simpler times, when folks would beat the heat by sitting near the mouth of the cave, enjoying the company of neighbors, listening to music, and the constant cool air of the cave. This year Cooling at the Cave will coincide with the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Tennessee State Parks on July 28th.

With entertainment provided by Cumberland Winds Dixie Band, which will perform Dixieland style music. Tables, chairs and board games will be provided by FODC, however, events goers are encouraged to bring their own to ensure they have a seat at this popular local event. Refreshments will be available for donations, which help offset the cost of the event.
