Clarksville Police Department has Eight Officers Graduate from Tennessee Law Enforcement Academy

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, December 21st, 2017, eight officers from the Clarksville Police Department graduated from 12 weeks of training at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA).

Clarksville Police Department is known for hiring quality officers who often excel and are recognized at the Police Academy for their accomplishments.

Officer Ian Yang was selected as Class President and received the Casey-Fowler-Williamson Leadership Award.

Nashville Sounds get 5-3 victory of the Sacramento River Cats

 

Nashville Comes From Behind To Defeat PCL Frontrunners

Nashville SoundsWest Sacramento, CA – The Nashville Sounds evened their series against PCL-leading Sacramento with a come-from-behind 5-3 victory on Monday evening at Raley Field.

Trailing 3-2 in the seventh, red-hot outfielder Khris Davis (2-for-3) delivered a two-out, two-run single to push the visitors into the lead and Jeff Bianchi belted a ninth-inning homer to provide the final two-run cushion.

The Nashville bullpen worked around several Sacramento baserunners in the final two innings, stranding the bases loaded in the eighth and leaving a pair of runners on in the ninth to keep the Cats at bay with a pair of scoreless frames to preserve the win.

Dr. Thomas King, professor of music, will receive the prestigious Signature Sinfonian Award from Phi Mu Alpha music fraternity at a special ceremony on Saturday, November 19th at APSU. Only seven men in the nation will receive this award this year. Green’s Three-Run Homer Gives Nashville An 11-10 Victory Over Sacramento

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Taylor Green hit a go-ahead, three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to power the Nashville Sounds to a 11-10 victory over the visiting Sacramento River Cats in front of 7,975 screaming kids on Tuesday afternoon at Greer Stadium

With the win, Nashville (14-24) earned a season-split with Sacramento. All four games of the series were decided by one run.

Four Nashville hitters recorded multiple-hit contests in the victory. Outfielder Brett Carroll continued to stay hot against Sacramento, adding his second three-hit performance in the series while scoring three runs. Carroll, Edwin Maysonet and Taylor Green all drove in three runs on the afternoon.

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds were on the short end of a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the PCL-leading Sacramento River Cats on Monday evening at Greer Stadium.

The teams played a one-run game for the third consecutive game in a tightly-contested series, and Nashville (13-24) suffered its league-leading 14th one-run loss of the year.

Three Sacramento hurlers combined to limit the Sounds to a season-low two hits on the evening – an Eric Farris single and a Brendan Katin home run.

River Cats Plate Late Run To Defeat Sounds In Series Opener

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds had their three-game winning streak halted on Saturday evening at Greer Stadium as the visiting Sacramento River Cats scored a run in the top of the ninth inning to post a 3-2 victory in the opener of a four-game series.

The loss was the eighth last at-bat defeat suffered this season by Nashville (12-23). The teams combined for only nine hits on the night and went just 1-for-14 combined with runners in scoring position in the game.

In the decisive ninth, Jai Miller led off by drawing a walk from Sounds reliever Donovan Hand and scored the eventual winning run one batter later when River Cats catcher Josh Donaldson followed with an RBI double off the base of the center field wall.
