Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) Govs Outdoors is holding an outdoor adventure camp for teens this summer.
Govs Outdoors Teen Camp is open to ages 12-15 and focuses on getting teens outdoors and into activities such as hiking, biking, rock climbing and caving, all offered in the Clarksville area.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s (APSU) Govs Outdoors, a program through University Recreation, offers about 10 trips every semester to members of the Foy Fitness & Recreation Center, including Austin Peay students, faculty and staff and members of the surrounding community.
Clarksville, TN – Leaders of the Clarksville Cycling Club met with Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan recently to discuss ways to promote bicycle-related activities in the Clarksville area.
Alex King, board member and past president, and Lawrence Mize also signaled support for the City’s efforts to create an advocacy group to promote a more bicycle- and pedestrian-friendly community.
Office of Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Endurance-Plus will sponsor the White Lightning mountain bike race Sunday, June 7th, at Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area. Online registration will be available at www.bikereg.com/white-lightning-xc through June 4th at 11:00pm.
Online registrants will receive $10.00 off race day price. Onsite registration will be available Sunday, June 7th, beginning at 7:30am.
Fort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell Outdoor Recreation’s Rough and Tough Hiking Tour’s last hike of the Spring Session will be a 10 mile hike at Prentice Cooper State Forest Mullen’s Cove Loop on Saturday, May 9th.
This recreational area has over 24,000 acres of hiking, camping, and mountain biking possibilities. This 10 mile loop offers one of the most stunning views of the Tennessee River Gorge along the way. Bring plenty of water and snacks.

Garden of the Gods Day Hike, February 1st from 8:00am to 5:00pm. For ages 12 and up. The cost is $25.00 and this includes your transportation. Hike the moderate Indian Point Trail and the Observation Trail. Registration deadline is 4:00pm on January 30th.
Open Climb, February 3rd and 14th, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, and February 12th, 21st and 27th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. The cost is $10.00. Come try out the Indoor Climbing Wall. Dog Hike, November 2nd, 10:00am to 12:00pm, $5.00. Hike the trails around Outdoor Recreation with your puppy pal. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times. Preregistration required by 4:00pm on October 31st.
Women in the Wilderness – Climbing, November 5th, 5:30pm to 8:00pm, $15.00. Ages 18 and over are invited to enjoy this outdoor activity while learning a new skill and meeting like-minded women. Fort Campbell’s Outdoor Recreation Adventure Programs will be Climbing, Paddling and Biking in September
Fort Campbell, KY – Join Outdoor Recreation Adventure Programs for some great activities this month. They’ll start the month off with an Open Climb at their brand new indoor climbing wall on September 4th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Ages 12 and up may participate and the cost is $10.00 which includes all of your equipment.

Clarksville, TN – The National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) a youth development organization governing high school mountain biking in the United States, today announced the Tennessee High School Cycling League as one of three new leagues in its expanding national program.
Tenessee’s entry into the national association marks a significant step towards NICA’s mission of providing high school mountain biking coast to coast by 2020.
Fort Campbell, KY – Join Outdoor Recreation Adventure Programs for some of the great activities they have planned for March. They’ll start the month off with a Kings Bluff Climbing Trip on March 2nd from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Everyone age 12 and up is invited to participate.
Kings Bluff is a scenic two mile crag located just 15 minutes from post. The cost is $35.00 and includes transportation and equipment. Please bring appropriate clothing, water, snacks, and a packed lunch. This trip is geared toward beginners so all are welcome.
