Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – The Taylor Youth Center has some great activities planned for the month of September.

CYSS Neighborhood Activity Home offers Culinary Arts

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Has your child expressed an interest in culinary arts? Do they like to help you in the kitchen with the baking and the cooking?

Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) is offering youth between the ages of 11 and 17 the opportunity to experience the joys and creativity of baking and cooking while learning the valuable fundamentals that go along with it. CYSS Parent Central Services Changes Hours of Operation

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) Parent Central Services is changing their hours of operation beginning August 1st. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome Monday through Thursday, from 8:00am until 6:00pm. Fridays are reserved for appointments only, from 8:00am until 5:00pm.

Pre-registration along with can be completed online at www.fortcampbellmwr.com/CYS. Parent Central Services is located at 5668 Wickham Avenue.

Escape to West Kentucky with 4-H

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – West Kentucky 4-H is offering a 3-day Summer Camp for 4th through 8th graders who love the outdoors. 

The camp will take place at the West Kentucky 4-H camp in Dawson Springs, KY from June 27th- June 30th. Children who participate will fish, camp, hike, swim, learn archery and make crafts. 

Applications for the camp in June can be picked up at Parent Central Services or at the Christian County Extension Office located in Hopkinsville KY. Deadline for registration is May 16th and orientation will be held on May 17th. «Read the rest of this article»

Child, Youth and School Services Home Alone Parent Workshop

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Remember the scene from Home Alone where Macaulay Culkin realizes that he has been left home alone, puts his hands on his face, and then proceeds to run through his house yelling in a panic? Do not let this movie scene be your reality! Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) Home Alone Parent Workshop, educates parents on acceptable practices, nutrition, and safety for middle school aged children and teens staying home alone.

The class also teaches parents what to expect of these children and their capabilities for self-supervision. The Home Alone Parent Workshop will take place at Parent Central Services, located at 5668 Wickham Avenue, from 11:15am until 12:45pm on Tuesday, September 28th. A brown bag lunch will be provided. Registration is required.
