Operation SERVE visits the Kleeman Community Center

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department would like to extend a big thank you to those volunteers from Grace Community Church’s Operation SERVE program who lent a helping hand to the Kleeman Community Center on Saturday, September 24th.

The group of volunteers completed a range of improvements at the Kleeman Center on both the interior and exterior of the Center.

City Council Recap and Comments, July 7th

 

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – The Parks and Recreation Department and the city council committee that works with them have been working on an ordinance that would allow the department and committee to review and adjust any program or activity fees as expenses dictated.

This would allow a quicker response to changing cost conditions, give more management authority and responsibility (more on that in the next topic item) to the committee, and save the council time and effort on what is typically a mundane operational procedure which the council typically approves when it come before them anyway. «Read the rest of this article»

Parks after Dark kicks off with Concerts in the Park

 

The May 16th Concert has been canceled due to flooding.

clarksvilletnBe sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, May 16 for the first Concerts in the Park of the season.  Concerts in the Park is part of City of Clarksville’s Parks after Dark series which features free concerts, movies and theatre the months of May through August.  The concert begins at 6p.m. at McGregor Park River Walk.  This month’s concert features the Hype of Jazz Concert Band.  Bring your family, picnic baskets and lawn chairs for a night of mellow jazz music under the stars. Community Centers set holiday hours for President’s Day

 

All Clarksville Community Centers will be operating on holiday hours on Monday, February 16th, in observance of Presidents Day.   The centers will be open from noon-7:00p.m.  Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, February 17th.

All regularly scheduled afternoon and evening activities will still take place. For community center hours, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 645-7476 or visit www.cityofclarksville.com/parksandrec.
