Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (1-2) close their 2015 preseason schedule this week at home against the Minnesota Vikings (4-0). Kickoff at Nissan Stadium (capacity 69,143) is scheduled for 7:00pm CDT on Thursday, September 3rd.

The game will be televised regionally on the Titans Preseason TV Network, including flagship WKRN-News 2 in Nashville. Play-by-play announcer Cory Curtis and analyst Eddie George will call the action, while Dawn Davenport will report from the sidelines.

Tennessee Titans waive corner Curtis Riley, sign Will Brown

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans have released injured cornerback Curtis Riley, signed deal with CB Will Brown and have taken nose tackle Sammie Hill off the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.

The 6 foot 1, 190 pound Brown played at Missouri S&T where he was a two-time all-conference (Great Lakes Valley) player at Division II.

He had seven interceptions, 20 pass breakups and 57 tackles in 11 games as a senior for the Miners. Brown attended the Titans rookie mini-camp as a try-out player this past May.

Tennessee Titans place Kevin Walter on PUP list, release Markelle Martin, bringing roster down to 75

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – By today, August 27th, all NFL teams have to trim their rosters down to 75 players by 3:00pm CT. Yesterday, the Tennesse Titans waived 13 players bring the roster down to 77.

Today, the Titans placed veteran receiver Kevin Walter on the physically unable to perform list (PUP). This means Walter will miss the first six weeks of the 2013 season while he recovers from back surgery.

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (1-2) conclude their preseason schedule this week, as they travel to face the Minnesota Vikings (0-3). Kickoff at Mall of America Field at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome (capacity 63,731) is scheduled for 7:00pm CT on Thursday, August 29th.

The game will be televised regionally on the Titans Preseason TV Network, including flagship WKRN-Channel 2 in Nashville. Cory Curtis will handle play-by-play duties, while former Titans quarterback Kerry Collins will provide analysis. Audra Martin will report from the sidelines.

Cornerback Jason McCourty appreciates opportunity to Remain a Tennessee Titan

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – Jason McCourty said Sunday that he loves being a Titan and really likes what the team has shown in three preseason games.

McCourty signed a multi-year contract extension Thursday, hours before the Titans’ defense recorded four sacks and forced five turnovers against the Arizona Cardinals.

“I love this organization,” said McCourty, a sixth-round selection in 2009. “It’s a great team. I was excited that they wanted to keep me here. Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak Alternates Practice Reps in first day of Training Camp

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak promised Friday that he would mix things up regarding practice reps in positions where there’s open competition.

Munchak was true to his word Saturday in the first practice session as players rotated in and out with different combinations, even alternating quarterbacks Matt Hasselbeck and Jake Locker between the first and second units, sometimes even within the a series.

Tennessee Titans place Kenny Britt, Markelle Martin on PUP List; waive Chandler Burden

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans waived undrafted rookie offensive lineman Chandler Burden on Wednesday, while placing wide receiver Kenny Britt and rookie safety Markelle Martin on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.

Britt and Martin still count on the team’s active roster and will be eligible to return to practice once they can pass the team’s physical.

The Titans roster currently stands at 88.
