Buchanan, Liberia – 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Task Force Lifeliner, Joint Forces Command – United Assistance, soldiers deployed in support of Operation United Assistance use the wash racks to ensure that the vehicles are clean and prepped for the arrival of a ship that will take the vehicles back to the United States.

Fort Campbell’s Task Force Lifeliner keeps water clean for Joint Forces working to contain Ebola Virus in Liberia

United States Africa CommandBuchanan, Liberia – Members of Task Force Lifeliner, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), in support of Joint Forces Command – United Assistance use a Tactical Water Purification System to keep the water clean in Buchanan, Liberia, January 2nd, 2015.

The water treatment specialists are responsible for supervising water purification equipment and assist in water reconnaissance in support of Joint Forces Command – United Assistance.

U.S. Soldiers start the new year off right

United States Africa CommandMonrovia, Liberia – On January 1st, 2015, Maj. Gen. Gary Volesky, commander of Joint Forces Command – United Assistance, prepared to promote and re-enlist Soldiers from different units in support of JFC-UA at Barclay Training Center, Monrovia, Liberia.

Maj. Brian Heverly, provost marshal for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), stood amongst his peers during his promotion ceremony as Maj. Gen. Gary Volesky promoted him to lieutenant colonel.

USO arrives in Liberia to provide stress free environment for U.S. Soldiers working to contain Ebola Virus

United States Africa CommandMonrovia, Liberia –  Soldiers assigned to 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) take in the amenities of the USO at Barclay Training Center, Monrovia, Liberia, December 28th, 2014.

The newly constructed USO with amenities such as Armed Forces Network, video game consoles and snacks gives Soldiers, deployed in support of Operation United Assistance, a stress-free environment to hang out during downtime.

U.S. Soldiers deployed to Liberia celebrate the Holiday

United States Africa CommandMonrovia, Liberia – The holiday season is among the service members deployed to Liberia in support of the U.S. Agency for International Development-led mission, Operation United Assistance.

Despite being away from their loved ones, together they remain mentally, spiritually and physically tough, and determined to enjoy the season.

Religious services for troops throughout the Joint Forces Command – United Assistance area of operations began December 16th with the start of Hanukkah. Along with traditional religious services, Liberian and the JFC-UA command organized a musical program at the Barclay Training Center here, to take in some Liberian culture with their allied partners.
