Austin Peay State University names Dr. Maria Cronley new APSU Provost

Austin Peay State University tops 11,000 students for first time in University history

During a special celebration Wednesday morning, the University unveiled its official fall 2019 enrollment numbers, and Austin Peay’s 11,048 students represent another record year for the University.

Austin Peay State University Board of Trustees approves annual rental fee for Montgomery County’s multipurpose event center

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – During its winter meeting on Friday, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Board of Trustees unanimously agreed to an annual base rental fee for a possible 30-year lease of Montgomery County’s multipurpose event center.

The lease will provide space for the University men’s and women’s basketball programs, including coach and assistant coach offices, locker rooms, practice facilities and game day facilities.

Austin Peay State University’s Tucker Brown named dean of APSU College of Behavioral and Health Sciences

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Dr. Tucker Brown, chair of the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Department of Sociology, was recently named dean of the University’s College of Behavioral and Health Sciences.

Dr. David Denton, former dean of the college, decided to return to the classroom in 2017, leaving the position open. Dr. Rebecca Corvey, professor of nursing, served as interim dean while the University conducted a national search to fill the position.

Austin Peay State University in Clarksville Tennessee cuts out-of-state tuition by nearly half

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU), Tennessee’s fastest-growing public university, is looking to attract more students from other states by cutting its out-of-state tuition.

For years, students living outside of Tennessee paid about $11,000 per semester, but a new rate approved by Austin Peay’s Board of Trustees nearly cuts that amount in half to just under $6,200 for 12 credit hours.

Austin Peay State University, Chautauqua partner to award student residencies at New York art institution

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Starting next year, one or two Austin Peay State University (APSU) art students will spend each summer at the Visual Arts at Chautauqua Institution in New York, immersed in nine weeks of classes, workshops and one-on-one time with art mentors.

And they won’t have to pay a dime.
