Terry Boykin Launches Inaugural Middle School All-Star Game in Clarksville

 

Playmaker Basketball AcademyClarksville, TN – “One, two, three, hard work!” Those words were shouted from center court in the Emmanuel Family Life Center Sunday afternoon by Terry Boykin, founder of the Playmaker Basketball Academy, and 24 huddled middle school basketball players after an intense, fast paced scrimmage.

The players were 24 of the 48 total middle school boys and girls basketball players selected from six different counties in Tennessee and Kentucky, to train and compete in the first annual Playmaker Basketball Academy TN/KY Middle School All-Star Game.

Dickson County Lady Dragons Win Middle School Girls Area 1-AAA Basketball Championship

 

Dickson County SchoolsServall Termite & Pest ControlClarksville, TN – The Middle School Girls Area 1-AAA Basketball championship game between the Dickson County Lady Dragons and the Rossview Lady Hawks at Kenwood High School Thursday night was a close battle all the way to the end.

When the dust settled and the last echo of sneakers squeaking on hardwood settled, it was the Lady Dragons who stood tall in victory. They defeated the Lady Hawks 39-34.

Top Seeds Dickson and Kenwood Advance In Area 1-AAA Middle School Girls Basketball Tournament

 

Kenwood Middle SchoolServall Termite & Pest ControlClarksville, TN – The middle school basketball season came to a close and day 1 of the girls Area 1-AAA Tournament tipped off Thursday afternoon at Kenwood High School. Eight teams played each other and only four teams advanced with a chance to claim the tournament championship.

In the first two games, the top two seeds dominated their opponents. First, the #1 Dickson Lady Dragons smothered the #8 Montgomery Central Lady Indians, 48-12. Then, the #2 Kenwood Lady Knights skewered the #7 New Providence Lady Mustangs 45-10.

Richview Lady Cowboys Charge Past Kenwood Lady Knights 33-28 to win Middle School Basketball Tournament

 

Richview Middle SchoolClarksville TN – The Richview Lady Cowboys were the last team standing in the Girls side of the Middle School Basketball Tournament at West Creek Middle School. They defeated the Kenwood Lady Knights, 33-28, in the Championship Game Thursday, January 30th.

The two teams battled to a 26-26 tie in the fourth period. Then, Richview’s Brittney Hudson made back-to-back baskets as part of a 6-0 run to give the Lady Cowboys a 32-26 lead. The Lady Knights scored only two more points the rest of the game.
