CDE Lightband gives Thanks to the Community

 

Clarksville Department of Electricity - CDE - CDE LightbandClarksville, TN – CDE Lightband faced a significant storm on Saturday, October 26th around 3:00pm that caused the most distribution damage in their history. The storm caused over 32,000 customers to be without power, more than 61 broken poles and over 15 transformer replacements.

Central Civitan held their annual BBQ Chicken Dinner fundraiser, Saturday

 

The Civitan ClubCunningham, TN – It was overcast and looked like rain this past Saturday, April 27th for the Central Civitan annual BBQ Chicken Dinner fundraiser. The rain held off and it turned into a great day for the event.

“It looked like it might rain at first, but it didn’t. It was a nice cool day for our fundraiser,” stated Larry Pitts with Central Civitan.

The dinners were take home only and included a 1/2 chicken, with baked beans, slaw, and a beverage. Each adult plate was just $8.00. Pick up was at the Central Civitan building located between Hwy 13 and Alonzo Place in Cunningham, TN.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Calling all budding artists in grades 1st through 5th, Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s Queen City Road Race T-shirt design contest is back and the best drawing will be featured on the official 2017 event t-shirt!

The Queen City Road Race, sponsored by Cumberland Bank and Trust, will take place Saturday, May 6th beginning at 8:00am at Austin Peay State University’s Fortera Stadium. The event will include a 5K, 10K, and One-Mile Walk/Run.
