Clarksville, TN – As the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic continues to have a widespread impact, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is adapting the traditional three-day Riverfest celebration into nearly two weeks of in-person and virtual events.
The Riverfest Virtual Talent Competition is included in the lineup of events, and only one week remains for contest entries.
Participants have until August 26th, 2020 to complete an online application that includes a video of their performance that is no more than four minutes in length.

Clarksville, TN – Aspire to Stardom, a local talent contest for talented young children across Tennessee, will showcase the finalists and choose a winner on Saturday April 20th during Rivers and Spires.

Fort Campbell, KY – Join Dale Wayrynen Recreation Center (D.W. Rec) for some great April activities! They start the month off with a Dinner and a Play Production on April 5th and 6th. Dinner will be served at 6:00pm and the play will begin at 7:00pm.
Featured will be two hilarious one-act plays by Peter Tolan, “Stay Carl Stay” and “Pillow Talk”. Your meal will be catered by Chef Bob at Sportsman’s Lodge and will consist of schnitzel, coleslaw and potato salad. The cost of the dinner and production is $20.00. On March 20th, show off your talent in the DW Rec. Talent Contest. Owensboro, KY – The Daymar Foundation is presenting the Scholarship Showcase to provide a talented high school junior or senior the opportunity to win a $25,000 tuition scholarship to further their education at the college/university of their choice.
The Daymar Foundation Scholarship Showcase is set for April 29th, at the Riverpark Center in Owensboro, KY. “This is our version of Britain’s Got Talent or American Idol,” said Susan Cooper, Foundation Executive Director. The contestants will compete in tryouts, March 18th and/or March 20th, for a slot to be a finalist in the showcase competition April 29th.
The tryouts will be held at the Daymar Colleges Group facility, 2401 New Hartford Road, in Owensboro, and at another Owensboro location TBA. High schools are being sent detailed information about the tryouts, the Showcase competition, and prizes to pass along to students. Anyone interested can also call the Foundation at 270-929-4772.
