Infinity Dance Fitness Academy conducts 1st Annual Dance Camp

 

Infinity Dance Fitness AcademyClarksville, TN – The Infinity Dance Fitness Academy (IDFA) conducted its first one-week dance camp July 27th-31st, 2015 at the Emmanuel Family Life Center. The IDFA Dance Camp was fun and exciting for the campers while creating a positive and empowering environment which allowed the campers to explore the art of dance i.

The 1st Annual IDFA Dance Camp had thirty campers ages 5-17. The campers received instruction in several disciplines of dance to include ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, belly dance and liturgical.

Austin Peay State University’s Watauga Arts Academy looking for high school students interested in the arts

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The Watauga Arts Academy, hosted by Austin Peay State University, is a summer program offering high school students the opportunity to participate in a collaborative and creative “think tank” for visual arts, music, dance and theatre.

Watauga is a two-week residential arts camp for students in grades 9-12, with this year’s camp taking place June 14th-27th.

LBL to host Public Meetings to Discuss Road System

 

Land Between the Lakes - LBLGolden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area will host three informational public meetings to discuss their road system.

Nationally, the USDA Forest Service is required to identify National Forest System roads no longer needed to meet forest resource management objectives. Transportation Analysis Process (TAP) provides a critical first step towards the development of proposed actions towards the future “minimum road system.”

IRS Seeks Tennessee Volunteers for Taxpayer Advocacy Panel

 

Internal Revenue Service - IRSNashville, TN – The Internal Revenue Service seeks civic-minded volunteers to serve on the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP), which is a federal advisory committee that listens to taxpayers, identifies key issues, and makes recommendations for improving IRS services.

New Payment Options Available for Tennessee Unemployment Insurance Benefits

 

Debit Cards and Direct Deposit Available for Unemployment Claimants

Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce DevelopmentNashville, TN – Effective January 18th, 2011, the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development will begin offering unemployed workers two new electronic options for receiving their unemployment benefits – debit cards and direct deposit. The Visa® debit card is called Tennessee Automated Payment (TAP) and is a provided by Chase Bank.

Debit card and direct deposit will be offered to newly unemployed workers as they apply for unemployment benefits.  Claimants currently receiving benefits can also enroll for debit cards or direct deposit payments online at https://ui.tn.gov.
