The Last Cheer at Greer begins Wednesday for Nashville Sounds

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – After 37 years serving as the Nashville Sounds’ ballpark, Greer Stadium will host its final Sounds homestand (#LastCheerAtGreer) beginning on Wednesday, August 20th.

The Sounds continue their playoff push with a pair of four-game series beginning with the Fresno Grizzlies (Triple-A Giants) from August 20th to August 23rd. The second half of the homestand will feature games against the Sacramento River Cats (Triple-A Athletics) from August 24th to August 27th.

Greer Stadium to Host Nashville Sound’ First “Past and Present” Baseball Doubleheader

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds will host the first ever “Past and Present Doubleheader” presented by The Nashville SCENE and Family Leisure on Sunday, June 29th at Greer Stadium.

Gates will open at 4:00pm for an action-packed day that will celebrate the storied history of Nashville baseball, beginning with the 1864 Nashville Vintage Baseball League holding its inaugural all-star game at 4:30pm as the North All-Stars battle the South All-Stars.

Nashville Sounds open Eight Game Homestand at Greer Stadium Thursday, June 26th

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds continue their #LastCheerAtGreer with the team’s sixth homestand of the year at Greer Stadium, which begins this Thursday, June 26th.

The eight-game homestand features a pair of four-game series against division rivals, as the Sounds will first play the New Orleans Zephyrs (Miami Marlins affiliate) from June 26th-29th and then resume the I-40 Cup Series with the Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals affiliate) from June 30th-July 3rd.

Christmas Down Home

Clarksville, TN – This Holiday season David Alford and Paul Carrol Binkley bring their much-loved heartwarming rendition of Truman Capote’s “A Christmas Memory” in Christmas Down Home back to APSU.

The show is a collection of Holiday stories, memories, and music from a simpler time born out of a previous show Alford and Binkley helped create called A Southern Christmas Sampler which was performed 1995-1999 in Nashville, TN.

Frist Fridays Concert Series Planned May – July

NASHVILLE, TN — Frist Fridays, the Frist Center’s popular summer concert series, kicks off May 28th, 2010, with musical guests The Dirt Drifters performing live in the Turner Courtyard. Now in its eighth year, the series takes place May through July from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the final Friday of each month. Patrons are invited to enjoy an evening of live music, light snacks and beverages as well as visit the diverse exhibitions on view in the Frist Center’s galleries.
