Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (0-0) open the regular season this week by hosting the defending AFC Champion New England Patriots (0-0). Kickoff at LP Field (capacity 69,143) is scheduled for noon CDT on Sunday, September 9th.

This is the second time the two clubs have met in Week 1 and the first occasion since 1975, when the then-Oilers began their season with a 7-0 victory over New England, one of 15 shutouts in franchise history.

The 39th all-time meeting between the former American Football League rivals is also a rematch of an early season battle last year at LP Field. In that contest, played on October 3rd, the Broncos used 341 passing yards by Kyle Orton to defeat the Titans 26-20. Tennessee Titans CODE BLUE Returns To Nashville

 

Fans Encouraged Show Their Support for the Tennessee Titans

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans are announcing their fourth annual CODE BLUE for the week of September 19th and asking fans to join in for a full week of fun. In the run up to the Titans game against the Denver Broncos on September 25th, fans are encouraged to show their Titans’ spirit by wearing Titans Light Blue to work, school and the big game.

To kick off CODE BLUE week, fans can join T-Rac and the Titans Cheerleaders at LP Field this evening, September 19th at 8:00pm, for a lighting ceremony and Vegas-style light show featuring cascading blue lights. LP Field and the pedestrian bridge will be illuminated Titans Blue each night leading up to Sunday’s game.

Titans 2010 Kickoff Package featuring Chris Johnson Offered at NFL Auctions

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans are now offering a “2010 Season Kickoff Package” featuring a Chris Johnson signed authentic game ball from the team’s 38-13 opening game victory over the Oakland Raiders.

The elements of the package include game ball signed by Chris Johnson and Head Coach Jeff Fisher, Gameday magazine with Johnson on the cover and a “Code Blue” commemorative tee-shirt.

The NFL and the Tennessee Titans encourage fans of all ages to host their own Back to Football events, all leading up to a nationwide Back to Football Friday celebration on Friday, September 10th. The Tennessee Titans will open their season at home vs. the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, September 12th at LP Field with a Titans Code Blue as part of the campaign.
