Shogun Restaurant own donates $1,000 to the Clarksville Police Department’s Youth Coalition Program

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Deok Kwon Nam, owner of Shogun Restaurant, presented the Clarksville Police Department a personal donation in the amount of $1,000 for the Clarksville Police Department’s Youth Coalition.

The CPD Youth Coalition is a unique program which works with “at risk” juvenile offenders.

Police Department clarifies mis-understanding

 

Clarksville Police Chief Al AnsleyClarksville, TN – “Operation Turnaround” has been one of the many accomplishments of the Clarksville Police Department.   The program targets troubled youth in the Clarksville area and gets them involved in a myriad of different programs, and depends on the support of local businesses and churches for support.

Recently, there’s been some concern that the program would not be able to accept the assistance of local churches over “church and state” guidelines.  Clarksville police chief Al Ansley says that is “not true”. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville Police Department’s still taking applications for 2nd Annual Youth Olympics

 

CPD LogoCPD’s 2nd Annual Youth Olympics Opening Ceremony will be June 5 at Northeast High School at 11:00 am.  The Olympics’ events will take place June 7th-18th. It is open to all youth and young adults ages 11 – 17. The events will be: Cooking, Judo, Flag Football, Volleyball, Fishing, Bowling, Trivia, Archery, Basketball, Swimming, and Track.

CPD now accepting sign-ups for 2nd annual Youth Olympics

 

The sign-up for the Clarksville Police Department’s 2nd Annual Youth Olympics has begun. The Youth Olympics are open to children from 11-17 years old. There is no charge to participate, however a parent or legal guardian must sign up the participant. Applications will be taken until May 15.

The events for this year’s games are Cooking, Judo, Flag football, Volleyball, Fishing, Bowling, Trivia, Archery, Basketball, Swimming, and Track. The opening ceremony will be held at 11:00 am on June 5th at McGregor Park. The competition will take place between June 7th-18th.

CPD hosts Eric Yow’s “Trick Shot Madness” pool show

 

eric-yowThe Clarksville Police Department will sponsor an “Operation Turn-Around” program fund-raiser, November 21st, in front of Belk’s at Governor’s Square mall.

The fund-raiser will feature Eric “The Preacher” Yow’s Trick Shot Madness – An Artistic Pool Show. Eric Yow is ranked 4th in the World in Artistic Pool Shooting. He is a multi-talented Clarksville resident. He is lawyer with a the Goble law firm, a Preacher, and a world class Artistic Pool Champion. He will be performing perform his impressive and, often amazing trick shot demonstrations beginning at: 11:00am, 1:00pm and 2:00 pm.
