Clarksville Parks and Recreation receives $7,580 grant for Sport Wheelchairs

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is proud to announce that it has received a $7,580 Quality of Life grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

The award was one of 107 grants totaling over $735,482 awarded by the Reeve Foundation to nonprofit organizations nationwide that provide more opportunities, access, and daily quality of life for individuals living with paralysis, their families, and caregivers.

Paralympic Sport Clarksville to host the Paralympic Experience

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Paralympic Sport Clarksville is excited to announce the first-ever Paralympic Experience to be held Saturday, March 9th at the Kleeman Community Center, located at 116 Cunningham Lane, from 10:00am until 3:00pm.

This event is open to youth and adults at least 8-years-old, including active duty service members and veterans, with physical and visual disabilities, regardless of skill level.

Paralympic Experience coming to Clarksville

 

Paralympic Sport ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces a new experience for Clarksville area youth and adults.  The “Paralympic Experience” is scheduled for Saturday March 9th, at the Kleeman Community Center.

This event is open to youth and adults at least 8-years-old, including active duty service members and veterans, with physical and visual disabilities, regardless of skill level. The Paralympic Experience will feature an introduction to many adaptive sporting events.

Paralympic Archery and Shooting Event at the Montgomery County Shooting Complex postponed

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The Paralympic Archery and Shooting Event hosted by Paralympic Sport Clarksville scheduled for 10:00am Friday, October 12th at the Montgomery County Shooting Complex, will be postponed to a later date.

U.S. Paralympics and the City of Clarksville’s Parks and Recreation Department Partner to Create Paralympic Sport Club Clarksville

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – U.S. Paralympics, a division of the U.S. Olympic Committee, and the City of Clarksville’s Parks & Recreation department have partnered to create Paralympic Sport- Clarksville.
