Knoxville, TN – Tennessee Vols Football head coach Jeremy Pruitt announced the addition of transfer defensive lineman Aubrey Solomon for 2019.
Solomon played at Michigan from 2017 to 2018 following a standout prep career at Lee County High School in Leesburg, GA, where he was rated a five-star recruit and a consensus top five defensive tackle product in the 2017 class.
“Aubrey is a guy that a lot of coaches on our staff knew when he was a young man in high school, and we all recruited him,” Pruitt said. “He can play all three downs. He’s a powerful man.

A 2003 bachelor of science degree in public relations graduate returned to Austin Peay for the first time in five years, October 26th, as he was honored in the Morgan University Center Ballroom as one of the two Outstanding Young Alumnus Award recipients for 2013 by the university.
Taylor Senseney’s last-second basket lifts Northwest High School Lady Vikings to one-point victory over LaVergne Wolverines
Clarksville, TN – Northwest High School’s Taylor Senseney knocked down a 12-foot jumper with 3.8 seconds left, November 22nd at the Willard Ross Memorial Gymnasium, to complete a fourth-quarter come-from-behind victory as the Lady Vikings defeated the LaVergne High School Wolverines, 43-42.
Senseney’s game-winner for Northwest (1-4) came after LaVergne’s Jasmine Smith’s driving layup with 25 seconds left had put the Wolverines up 42-41.

Clarksville, TN – Northwest High School’s boys basketball team fell behind 7-0 after the first two minutes of play, November 22nd at Willard Ross Memorial Gymnasium, to the LaVergne High School Wolverines and never recovered in a 86-62 loss.
LaVergne (3-0), one of the favorites to win District 7-AAA, exploded out of the gate right away getting a game-opening layup from Charles Sutton just seven seconds into the game.
APSU Sports: Austin Peay Men’s Basketball
Chattanooga, TN – Austin Peay State University’s defensive struggles continued to make December a forgettable month.
Utah Valley shot 61 percent from the floor and scored on eight of its last nine possessions to pull away late to defeat the Governors, 84-77, in first-round play of the Dr. Pepper Classic, being played at McKenzie Arena.

Clarksville, TN – This is the 23rd Annual Dr. Pepper Classic, hosted by Chattanooga. This is the Austin Peay Governors Basketball’s second tourney appearance. The Governors reached the finals of 2000 Classic.
APSU has never played two-Utah Valley and High Point-of the entrants in this year’s tourney. APSU and Chattanooga have played 18 times previously.
Nashville, TN – In the 3rd round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans pickup Michigan Wolverines defensive tackle Mike Martin with the 19th pick (82nd overall pick).
Martin was the 2011 season captain for Michigan and also a four year letterman. He had 64 tackles and 3.5 sacks his senior year. Martin’s strength is his strong suit.
