Clarksville, TN – Dr. Maria Cronley, a nationally recognized consumer behavior expert and senior administrator at Ohio Northern University, was recently named provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Austin Peay State University (APSU). She will begin her new role at APSU in July.

APSU announces final four candidates for Athletics Director position

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University has narrowed its search for a new athletics director down to four strong candidates, and the University will begin interviewing the candidates in early July. APSU began looking for a new AD in April when Derek van der Merwe was promoted from that position to vice president of Advancement, Communications and Strategic Initiatives.
After an extensive national search, the University is bringing the top candidates to campus next month for interviews. Interested campus and community members, along with the media, are invited to attend an open session with each candidate, from 4:45pm to 5:15pm, in the Club Level of Governors Stadium.

Instant Peay Play: APSU Govs, Lady Govs Basketball have shown promise as preseason ends
Clarksville, TN – After missing out on the postseason the past two years, both Austin Peay State University’s men’s and women’s basketball teams have shown promise with the regular season beginning this week.
The Governors closed out their preseason schedule 2-0 after defeating Bryan College, on November 5th, 63-52 after hammering Webster University 82-48 on November 1st.
