Northwest High Baseball takes advantage of West Creek Coyotes errors to advance in 10-AAA Tournament

 

Northwest High School VikingsClarksville, TN – Northwest High School’s baseball team took advantage of five West Creek High School errors, May 5th in the losers’ bracket of the District 10-AAA tournament at Clarksville High School’s baseball field, to score eight unearned runs in defeating the Coyotes, 8-6.

The Vikings (7-25) will advance to the 4:30pm May 6th losers’ bracket finals to face Henry County High School, who lost to Clarksville High School on May 5th, 14-4, while West Creek (14-19) sees its season come to an end.

West Creek Coyotes baseball rallies in the seventh for 6-5 win over Northwest Vikings

 

West Creek High School Coyotes - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Chris Carroll scored on a failed pick-off play to cap West Creek High School’s baseball team’s four-run, seventh-inning rally, April 21st at Riley Martin Field, as the Coyotes picked up a 6-5 District 10-AAA victory over Northwest High School.

The pick-off play came right after West Creek (13-13, 4-7 District 10-AAA) had a runner tagged out on a missed suicide-squeeze attempt for the second out of the seventh inning.

Clarksville High Baseball scores nine in one inning to beat Northwest High 14-4

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Clarksville High’s baseball team put together a nine-run fourth inning, March 26th, to break open it District 10-AAA game versus Northwest High School on its way to a 14-4 victory.

With the win, Clarksville High remains undefeated on the season – improving to 10-0 overall and 4-0 in District 10-AAA.

The Wildcats would collect 11 hits against four different Northwest pitchers in the victory, with Landon Mosteller, Ryan Streeter, Justin Miller and Luke Chilcutt all recording two hits each.

Northwest High School Baseball beats Springfield 14-0

Northwest High SchoolClarksville, TN – Northwest High School exploded for 8 runs in the 2nd inning to defeat Springfield 14 – 0 Monday night at Riley Martin Field.

Adam Caver had an RBI double to give the Vikings a 1 – 0 lead after the 1st inning. Zach Dixon lead off the 2nd by blasting a solo homerun and later in the inning Ty Haston added a 3 run homer, his 5th of the season, to expand the lead to 9 – 0.

Northwest lost to Johnson County Monday night in the State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament, 18-12

 

Clarksville National Little League is hosting the 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament

Little League BaseballClarksville, TN – Northwest locked horns with Johnson County at the 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament held Monday night, July 23rd at Clarksville National field. Johnson County loaded the bases in the top of the 1st with no outs.

Northwest’s pitcher Cortny Griffin struck out the next batter. Griffin then walked a batter and hit another. He then settled down and struck out the next two. Johnson County got two runs but left the bases loaded.

Northwest loses to Spring Hill 11-3 in the State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament

 

Clarksville National Little League is hosting the 2012 State Junior (13-14) Baseball Tournament

Little League BaseballClarksville, TN – Northwest and Spring Hill faced off Saturday, July 21st at 6:00pm in the 2012 State Junior (13-14)

Baseball Tournament held at the Clarksville National fields. Springhill got things started scoring 4 runs in the top of the 1st inning. Northwest battled back scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st.

That’s when Spring Hill’s pitching kicked it into gear and held Northwest scoreless for the next five innings.
