Clarksville Police Department wants the Public to be aware of Residential Burglaries

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department has noticed an increase in residential burglaries in the Cherry Bark Lane, Oak Arbor Court, White Face Drive, and McCormack Drive areas in the past week.

Seems like each year a group of individuals burglarize residences or apartment. The Police will catch them, burglaries settle down, and then the cycle starts again with a different group of individuals.

There methodology seems to be kicking in the back door of residence and then carrying items, often times TVs or electronics out through the front door. Police officers find that when their investigating the burglaries that there have been witnesses in some cases, but they don’t think about a crime being committed.

Most have been occurring in the daylight hours between 6:00am–1:00pm.

Police want to make the public aware of the burglaries. But, would also like to ask for the publics help. If anyone sees anything the least bit suspicious, whether a person or vehicle, call 911.

An officer can be sent to the area to see if there is any criminal activity involved. It is better to check the area and find nothing amiss, than not to respond and have a crime occur.
