Every Republican who is currently in office, and every new Republican running for office should be called to account, We need answers to these important questions…
We also need answers to other questions. Such as, Why did we allow:
- the terrorist to win after September 11th 2001 by making America and Americans less free?
- the war on Iraq which distracted us from our real enemies allowing them to escape?
- the patriot act, which was anything but patriotic?
- the creation of free speech zones which penalize Americans on the content of their speech?
- the administration to violate federal law by spying on American citizens in the United States?
- the suspension of Habeas Corpus in times not permitted by the Constitution?
- the intertwining Christianity in Politics, in Government?
- the stripping of due process from anyone under the control of the American Government?
- the President to declare someone guilty without a trial?
- the corporations of America to run rampant at the expense of the individual Americans?
- the loss of American manufacturing jobs to go unchecked, unanswered?
I could go on and on and one, but I think by now, that you probably get the point.

Darn Bill, that is a lot of questions to be answered there. I’m not sure I can do it in the comment section or not. But if it helps, a lot of Republicans are asking the same questions. Yet I’m not sure that the Democrats would do much better since many of them answer to the same corporate interests. Perhaps John Tanner would be a better one to ask the questions of, since he voted for most of the items you are asking about.
John I am not saying they would. I would recommend people not continue to vote for the same people in power, because if we do that then nothing changes. If candidates like you takes a stand and shows themselves to be truly independent, that they put our nation above partisan politics I would consider recommending that people vote for them regardless of party. I can’t recommend that people vote for those who have stood idly by as the Constitution and or freedoms burned, as the current crop of Republicans have done. I watched Iraq for sale last night and could not believe the fact that not only have the people who enabled this not been charged with a crime, but the fact that they were still inhabiting an elected office.
Make your case John, we would love to hear the stands you would take. I know Bob Corker won’t be independent. I do not know about you.
I think I’ve answered most of them on my blog during the campaign already, but I have to work the night shift tonight so I’ll see what I can do about writing a post for ClarksvilleOnline to do just that. I need something to keep me awake :)
