Austin Peay State University Men’s Tennis’ Aleksas Tverijonas breaks into ITA regional rankings

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – Rising Austin Peay State University senior Aleksas Tverijonas was ranked 20th among individuals in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Ohio Valley Regional Rankings.

Tverijonas went 20-5 last season, including a 13-2 mark at No. 3 singles and 4-0 at No. 2 singles during spring dual season.

He also played No. 1 doubles with Jasmin Ademovic, posting a 14-7 overall mark.

Entering his final year in an Austin Peay uniform, the Lithuanian-bred Tverijonas is 57-16 in singles play and 30-27 in doubles, earning All-Ohio Valley Conference honors in each of his first three seasons on campus.

Tverijonas also played an integral role in the Govs 2013 OVC Men’s Tennis Championship and subsequent appearance in the NCAA Championships.
