APSU Governors Tennis’ Manuel Montenegro wins three against North Alabama

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team hosted its only competition of the fall, Friday, facing North Alabama. Despite dropping two of three doubles matches, the Governors rebounded to win eight out of ten singles matches.

The afternoon featured one round of doubles play followed by two rounds of singles action.

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – A sweep of the two doubles matches along with a singles win were the highlights from Austin Peay State University women’s tennis teams match against North Alabama, Friday.

The Lady Govs picked up their first point of the day in doubles action when seniors Ornella Di Salvo and Vanessa Tavares earned an 8-4 victory against Avery King and Natalia Barragan.

Fort Campbell MWR’s Estep has a Great Schedule of Classes in October

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Estep Wellness Center has released the October class schedule. A new month brings exciting changes.

Maximized Monday with Dr. Dale Brown has been changed to Saturday, October 25th at 10:45am and will be held following the “Believe & Choose Hope Boot Camp Challenge.” The subject this month is “Cancer Prevention/Save the Tatas.” This is a free seminar but registration is required.

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – After a week off, the Austin Peay State University men’s cross country team hits the road again to compete at the JSU Foothills Invitational, hosted by Ohio Valley Conference rival Jacksonville State.

The eight kilometer race will start 10:00am, Saturday, at Oxford Lake and Recreation Center.

AAA says Gas Prices to keep dropping in October

 

Consumers Paid the Cheapest September Gas Prices in Four Years

AAATampa, FL – Drivers across the United States paid the lowest September gas prices since 2010. The national average was $3.39 per gallon, which was about 13 cents less than last year and 44 cents cheaper than 2012.

Throughout September, Florida gas prices averaged $3.32, which was 14 cents cheaper than last year, and 46 cents less expensive than 2012. In Georgia, the average price was also $3.32, which was 7 cents cheaper than last year and 43 cents less than 2012. Laghman Province, Afghanistan – Command Sgt. Maj. Isaia T. Vimoto, senior enlisted adviser of ISAF Joint Command and Command Sgt. Maj. Mohammad Ali Hussayni, Afghan National Army ground forces command sergeant major, visit with Soldiers with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division and 201st Corps ANA at Forward Operating Base Gamberi in Laghman province, Afghanistan.

Both Command Sergeants major came to build rapport, and share knowledge with the Soldiers under their respective responsibility.
