Clarksville, TN – It was just too much speed and athleticism on the part of the Kenwood High School Knights basketball team, November 11th in their TSSAA Hall of Fame Game, as they dominated the Community High School Vikings in a 70-37 win to open the regular season.
The Knights utilized their speed and athleticism on both ends of the court against the Vikings, as they harassed the Community ball handlers into turnovers, dominated the glass rebounding and beat their opponents up and down the floor all night long.
It would take almost two minutes before either team would make a shot from the floor, with Community’s Tyler Broles knocking down a three-point field goal to get things going – and giving the Vikings their only lead of the night, 3-2.

Community would chip away at the Knights lead, getting to within two points, 10-8, with 3:35 left, but Kenwood scored 10 of the final 12 points scored in the first quarter – including four each from De’Andre Radcliffe and Norl – to take a 20-10 advantage after the first quarter of play.
Norl finished with 10 points on the night, while Keith Dowlen and Angel Hall would both score 11 points each to lead the Knights.
As the second quarter began the Knights really got things going their way, as they scored the first 10 points of the quarter to build their lead out to 20 points, 30-10, with 4:06 left in the first half,
The final four minutes of the first half would see the Knights only outscore the Vikings 7-6 and take a 37-16 advantage into intermission.
The second half would start off much more even, with the two teams trading baskets for the most part for the first 5:32 of the third quarter – with Kenwood still leading by 23 points, 49-26.
But Community would keep Kenwood off the board the rest of the quarter, but could only score six points to head into the final quarter down 49-32 to the Knights.
That final little run to end the third quarter was the final push by the Vikings, as the Knights opened the final eight minutes of play by scoring the first 13 points of the period to go up 30, 62-32 with 3:38 left in the game.
Kenwood would cap the game by hitting two of their three 3s of the game in the final two minutes to come away with the 70-37 win.
