Big Fish Mickey Fisher Memorial
Clarksville, TN – This July 13th and 14th, 2018 the Big Fish Mickey Fisher Memorial will celebrate its 9th annual golf tournament and BBQ & Auction. These events are the sole funding of The Big Fish Scholarship which awards $20,000 to a child of a Fort Campbell soldier to further their education at Austin Peay State University.
This May Mary Fisher awarded Savannah Rye of Northwest High School 2018’s scholarship. Savannah is the 7th to receive the honor.
This year’s Mickey Fisher Memorial Golf tournament will be held at a new venue, the Clarksville Country Club.
The scramble is on Saturday July 14th with two shotgun starts, 7:30am and 1:30pm. There are also individual contests for participants to win, such as longest drive, longest putt, and hole-in-one prizes.
To participate (Register HERE) a donation of $440.00 registers a team of four into the scramble. It also includes free golf balls at the driving range before the shotgun start, lunch is at the clubhouse during the tournament, and a ticket to the BBQ & Auction on Friday July 13th at 6:00pm at the Bud Barn.
The BBQ & Auction is a fun family atmosphere where friends can enjoy BBQ and bid in the live and silent auctions to raise money for the scholarship. Tickets are $15.00 per person or $25.00 per couple and are can be purchased at the event entrance.

About The Big Fish
The Big Fish Scholarship is a $20,000 scholarship awarded to the child of a Fort Campbell soldier who attends Austin Peay. The organization began in 2009 in memory of Mickey Fisher, APSU basketball star and Fort Campbell High School teacher.
The Big Fish Mickey Fisher Memorial Golf Tournament and BBQ & Auction are held each summer to raise money to fund the scholarships.
