Bowling Green, KY – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) volleyball team got out to a quality start but could not keep up with a hot-hitting Western Kentucky side in a three-set loss (21-25, 7-25, 15-25), Tuesday, at E.A. Diddle Arena.
Austin Peay (2-12) enjoyed a quality start to the match, forcing nine ties and five lead changes in the opening frame.
The Govs built a two-point lead late, 18-16, and forced a WKU timeout. The Hilltoppers responded to the stoppage with a 6-1 run to take a 22-19 lead and force a Govs timeout.

Austin Peay State University bounced back to force a see-saw affair early in the third, forcing eight ties and four lead changes in the early going. The Governors led 8-7 before Western Kentucky used an 11-1 run to break the set open en route to claiming the match.
