Clarksville, TN – Beachaven Vineyards & Winery recently celebrated its 40th anniversary with “Cheers to 40 Years,” commemorating its game-changing Jazz on the Lawn series that forever changed Clarksville’s social scene. Somewhere between 1,000 and 1,500 guests came out for the occasion.
Beachaven’s Abby Scurlock said, “We are celebrating our 40th anniversary at Beachaven, and we’re very excited. 1986 was the founding year of the commercial winery, right here on this spot. We are the second-oldest winery in the state, and Tennessee’s oldest family-owned winery.
“We’ve got Clarksville Jazz Collective performing today. They were one of the first bands to ever play Jazz on the Lawn. We thought it was only fitting to have them here. After the pandemic, we pivoted to local artists every weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, instead of the two large events a month. Every once in a while we revisit the larger events.
“But it makes it easier for people to find a place to sit and a place to park, and they don’t have to fight traffic. We bring in food trucks. It’s just a lot more enjoyable. Earlier, we had a VIP Experience to celebrate 40 years, featuring our Beachaven Cuvee, a traditional-method sparkling wine. We did a 4-year run from 2019 to 2022. We’ve opened that to the public today and offered flights. We also offered up some exclusive wines at the VIP party, which will be released later in the month.”
