Clarksville Parks and Recreation partners with APSU Fraternity and Sorority Affairs to offer free after-school tutoring program

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation and APSU Fraternity and Sorority Affairs have joined forces to provide a free after-school tutoring program for youth in the Clarksville community.

The new program, Each One Teach One, is held on Mondays at the Burt-Cobb Community Center from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.

The recent accomplishments are listed below.

In March, Stephen Dominy, coordinator of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs, was named the NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education Fraternity & Sorority Knowledge Community co-chair. Austin Peay State University chapter recognized as one of Sigma Phi Epsilon’s best

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – TN Eta Residential Learning Community, of Austin Peay State University was recently named one of Sigma Phi Epsilon’s best chapters in the nation and recognized with the coveted Buchanan Cup.

The Buchanan Cup, an award for outstanding chapter performance, is named after the fraternity’s former Grand President Edwin Buchanan. It is bestowed every two years for chapters excelling in all areas of chapter operations and leadership including volunteer support, recruitment, member development, academics, fiscal health and faculty engagement.

Guess What I Heard? coming to APSU Saturday

 

Guess What I HeardClarksville, TN – The Gospel play “Guess What I Heard?” will be performed at the APSU in the Clement Auditorium on Saturday, January 22nd 2011 at 2:00pm and at 7:00pm. The play is based on the book written by Camilla Vargas. It  is produced, written, and directed by Treva R. Gordon; with writing assistance by Lavon Bravy. Associate directors include Alphonse & Benetta Prather, Lavon Bracey, and Jacqueline Lisenby.

Guess What I Heard is not your ordinary gospel music theatrical play. Comprised of 6 vignettes that touch on stalking in a relationship, baby momma drama, spousal cheating, spousal abuse, self esteem, & suicide.
