Austin Peay State University hosting Pokemon Go event to Welcome Back Students

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – In early July, dozens of small, happy-looking monsters overwhelmed the Austin Peay State University campus.

A month later, the creatures continue to hover across the lawns or hide in academic buildings, but in order to see them, a person needs a cell phone, the Pokemon Go app and the ability to walk while staring at a small screen.

AP Pride Day, Saturday to feature Three games at Two Venues

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s athletics marketing and promotions office has announced several exciting promotions for the upcoming month and it all starts with Governors Football.

APSU encourages fans to take part in AP Pride Day, Saturday. Along with Austin Peay’s Office of Admissions hosting more than 400 prospective students, Govs football hosts Culver-Stockton, 1:00pm, at Governors Stadium, followed by Lady Govs volleyball against Southeast Missouri at 4:30pm, and Govs basketball in exhibition action against Central Missouri at 7:30pm.

Austin Peay State University taps Veteran Admissions Employees as new Director

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Since May 1996, Amy Deaton has seen a countless number of students enter the admissions office at Austin Peay State University.

She started working at APSU almost 16 years ago as an admissions counselor, and today, she is now the University’s director of admissions.

Deaton, of Clarksville, was named to her new post recently by APSU officials. Serving as interim director since August 2011, she said she is eager to help continue the enrollment growth seen in recent years at The Peay. «Read the rest of this article»

High school seniors, transfer students invited to attend Fast Track Admissions Week

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Being put on hold during a telephone call or waiting in long lines is no fun.

That’s why, this fall, the Austin Peay State University Office of Admissions will host Fast Track Admissions Week, October 10th-14th. All high school seniors and transfer students are invited to this event.
