Tannehill, acquired in a trade with the Miami Dolphins, was a catalyst for the team’s resurgence in 2019, taking control as the starter in Week 7 and finishing the campaign with a league-best 117.5 passer rating. He was named to his first Pro Bowl and voted the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year.

The contest marks the second season opener in franchise history against the Browns. The only other time it happened was a Browns win in Cleveland in 1971.

The game will be televised regionally on the Titans Preseason TV Network, including flagship WKRN-News 2 in Nashville. Play-by-play announcer Dan Hellie and analyst Charles Davis will call the action, and Cory Curtis will report from the sidelines.
Nashville, TN – The success of the Tennessee Titans tight ends was due in part to position coach Arthur Smith, who was promoted by Mike Vrabel to offensive coordinator after the season.
Former coordinator Matt LaFleur was hired as head coach of the Green Bay Packers. Smith, 36, has spent eight seasons with the Titans under four different head coaches, working his way up from defensive assistant/quality control coach in 2011.

Smith has been on the Titans coaching staff for eight years (2011-18), earning the trust of four different head coaches. Overall, he has 12 years of coaching experience with 10 of those coming at the NFL level.
“I am excited for Arthur and for our team to be able to elevate a deserving coach,” said Titans head coach Mike Vrabel. “I was impressed throughout the season in game plan meetings with his ideas, in-game with his understanding of situations and the ability to get the most out of his position group.”
Nashville, TN – Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak, in his 32nd season as a player or coach with the franchise, enters his third training camp at the helm. His total of 15 wins from 2011-12 was the third highest number in team history in a head coach’s first two full seasons.
Last year, the Titans fielded their youngest opening-day roster in seven years and then sent 16 players to injured reserve—their highest number in more than 20 years—en route to a 6-10 record and third-place finish in the AFC South.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans hired Jonathan Gannon as Defensive Assistant/Quality Control. Additionally, Arthur Smith, who was served as Defensive Assistant/Quality Control last year, will be Offensive Assistant/Quality Control this year.
Gannon joins the Titans after three years as a scout with the St. Louis Rams. Last year, he served as a Pro Scout for the Rams and was a college scout in his first two seasons with the team. Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans named Dave Ragone as wide receiver coach, Art Valero as assistant offensive line coach, Chet Parlavecchio as assistant special teams coach and Arthur Smith as defensive assistant/quality control.
Ragone spent three seasons as an NFL quarterback from 2003-05 with the Houston Texans. He joins the Titans after spending one season with the UFL’s Hartford Colonels as the quarterback coach.
