Residents can build, learn to use natural irrigation system

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Using a rain barrel to harvest rainwater for irrigation of household plants and backyard gardens can improve the environment and help homeowners save money.

The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County will sponsor a Rain Barrel Workshop to assist local residents in building a rain barrel and learning how to use it.

City of Clarksville Phase II MS4 Notice of Intent and associated documents available for viewing

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville is regulated as a Phase II community under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for Discharges from Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4).

The MS4 permit, which derives authority from the federal Clean Water Act regulatory program, is mandated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and enforced by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC).

In order to maintain compliance with the NPDES Phase II program, the City of Clarksville is required to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) application to TDEC.

Peers recognize her lobbying efforts

Clarksville Street Department becomes Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – Clarksville Street Department is the latest city department to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified.

Today is last Day to Register for Clarksville-Montgomery County Rain Barrel Workshop

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Anyone who is interested in building and using their own rain barrel is encouraged to register for the Clarksville and Montgomery County Rain Barrel Workshop.

The workshop will be held at the William O. Beach Civic Hall on July 11th, 2015 from 10:00am to 11:30am.  Reservations will close on July 1st.
