Employees Voice Safety Concerns

Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning CommissionClarksville, TN – A grievance filed by an employee at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission has raised safety concerns among several other employees.

John Stanley Williams filed a grievance on March 20th 2013, with Dr. David Ripple, Planning Commission Director, aimed at RPC employee, Audrea Smithson, claiming a “hostile” work environment and preferential treatment.  In his grievance, he claims that Smithson has been  treated more favorably for sick leave, and personal days that she has taken.  «Read the rest of this article»

Employee caught submitting fraudulent expenses

Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning CommissionClarksville, TN – An employee at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission has filed a grievance claiming a “hostile” work environment.  That same employee was recently reprimanded by Planning Commission Director Dr. David Ripple, for submitting fraudulent expense reports and overcharging local, state and federal agencies for his travel expenses.

John Stanley Williams filed a grievance this week claiming that Audrea Smithson, a fellow RPC employee, has been treated more favorably as it relates to sick leave, comp time and absences from the office and he and “others” are asking for an outside/independent agency to review Smithson’s records, interview staff members and report their findings to the executive committee. «Read the rest of this article»

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office denies claim of Investigation

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s office denies they conducted any investigation into an anonymous e-mail at the center of a controversy at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission.

Clarksville Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission Employee files grievance against Planning Commission Member

Montgomery County, TN – An employee of the Regional Planning Commission, John Spainhoward, has filed a grievance against Mabel Larson, who is a member of the Regional Planning Commission appointed by Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers, after Larson allegedly threatened his job after accusing him of sending an email that accused  her of ethics violations.

Montgomery County, TN – Clarksville Online and WJZM radio has learned that an employee of Montgomery County government, who works at the Clarksville/Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission, has filed an official grievance against a member of the Regional Planning Commission.
