Clarksville, TN – On Wednesday, November 18th, 2020, the Clarksville Gas and Water Department (CGW) turned off water service on Beech Street and B Street in New Providence for water main leak repair.
Area residents may also experience low water pressure during the work.

Clarksville, TN – Yesterday, Thursday, November 17th, 2016 at 4:25pm, witnesses at the Speedway Gas Station at 320 Providence Boulevard called E911 when they observed a white male fire his handgun four to five times in the parking lot. The witnesses said he fled on foot.
After a District 2 Clarksville Police Department Officer saw a vehicle speed off from the gas station, he spoke with the occupants, and they told him that the shooter shot at them.

Clarksville, TN – Wanted fugitive Marshall D. Yoder, 32, has been captured by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshall Services Fugitive Task Force.
Yoder was located at 305 B Street late Tuesday afternoon, June 28th. When investigators and agents surrounded the house, Yoder attempted to flee out a back door, where he was apprehended and taken into custody.
Clarksville, TN – In an effort to bring more attention to drivers that drink and drive, the Clarksville Police Department is going to start consolidating and publishing the circumstances which lead to the DUI arrest. They are arrests, not convictions. Clarksville Police had 751 DUI arrests for 2012.
Police made 10 DUI arrests from February 15th thru February 17th, 2013.

Clarksville, TN – On June 25th, 2012, around 9:30pm, Officer Dennis Honholt initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of B Street and Beech Street. When the vehicle was stopped there was an odor of marijuana detected in the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, Justin Tyra, had a suspended license. The passenger in the vehicle was Maurice Deloatch who, on June 25th, 2012 around 2:30am had bonded out of jail on an Aggravated Robbery charge. During a search of the vehicle, marijuana was found inside.

Clarksville, TN – A Gas and Water construction crew turned off water service at 9:00am this morning on Walker Street to replace an eight-inch water valve. Service will be disrupted on Walker from New Providence Boulevard to Duncan Street and on B Street from Walker to Locust Street. B Street will also be closed to through traffic from Locust to Walker.
Work is expected to be complete and the street reopened at 1:00pm. Motorists will be detoured to Locust and B streets.

Clarksville, TN – A Gas and Water construction crew will turn off water service tomorrow morning at 8:00am to 2:00pm on Walker Street from New Providence Boulevard to A Street. Walker and a section of B Street from Locust Street to Walker Street will be closed to traffic while workers replace an eight-inch water valve.
Area residents may experience low water pressure during the outage. Motorists will be detoured to A and B streets.
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville has contracted Stones River Electric to replace 360 streetlight fixtures with LED streetlight fixtures as part of a Federal Department of Energy Grant to the city.
