Activities and music will begin at 6:30pm. Seating is available throughout the park and the concerts will take place on the Great Lawn of the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. Concessions are for sale throughout the park.

Clarksville Firefighters hosting Muscular Dystrophy Association Boot Drive

 

Clarksville Fire RescueClarksville, TN – Clarksville Firefighters will be out in full force this Labor Day weekend as the annual MDA Boot Drive is underway now through September 2nd.

In conjunction with the annual MDA telethon, raising money and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy, Clarksville Fire Rescue personnel will be at Wal-Mart on Fort Campbell Boulevard, Wal-Mart on Madison Street, and Wal-Mart on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, Kroger on Dover Crossing Road, Kroger on Lowes Drive, Kroger and Dollar General Market on Madison Street, and Big Lots on South Riverside Drive in Clarksville collecting money from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

Gateway CAST & Crowns Performing Arts Center performers head to Orlando Florida

 

Gateway CAST & Crowns Performing Arts CenterClarksville, TN – Gateway CAST & Crowns Performing Arts Center has 11 performers attending the Power Pak Intensive in Orlando, Florida. The young people will be there July 1st through the 6th taking classes in all forms of dance as well as musical theatre.

Guest teachers from across the country will be teaching these classes. On July 5th the performers will be in a show at Downtown Disney and the on July 6th they will be the Starpower National Talent Competitions National Dance team.

U.S. Consumer Product Safety CommissionWashington, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. Ceramic Heaters recalled because they can overheat and melt causing a risk of fire or electric shock hazard.

Clarksville Police arrest Big Lots Robbery Suspect

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On June 20th, 2012 around 6:30pm, Derek Allen Brown was located and taken in custody by Clarksville Police without incident at the Shell Sudden Service at 2699 Highway 41A South.

He admitted to committing the robbery at Big Lots.

Clarksville Police identify Man that robbed Big Lots at Gunpoint

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On June 18th, 2012, around 9:45am, Big Lots, 1041 South Riverside Drive was robbed by an armed gunman.

The investigation into the robbery by Clarksville Police Detective Josh Jobe has lead to Derek Allen Brown (W/M, DOB: 6/20/77, Given address: Homeless) being identified as the man that robbed Big Lots on Riverside Drive. A photographic line-up was shown to witnesses and they confirmed Brown was the person who robbed the store.
