Nashville Predators defeat Tampa Bay Lightning 4-1

 

Nashville PredatorsClarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators welcomed the return of Vezina Trophy winner Pekka Rinne back to the ice tonight with a strong 4-1 road win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.   

Rinne had missed the last five games due to injury, but tonight’s performance, where he blocked 42 shots on net, proves the rest did him some good.  Pekka never missed a beat.

Nashville owned the first period scoring at 6:02 of the first period when Kyle Turris got the tip in on net for the early 1-0 lead.  Mattias Ekholm and Carrie Jarnkrok assisted on the score.

Nashville Predators Defeat Dallas Stars 5-2

 

Nashville PredatorsClarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators continue their winning ways by defeating the Dallas Stars 5-2 on the road. Nashville put an end to the Stars five game winning streak as back up goalie Juuse Saros made 43 saves on the night for the Predators.

Coming off of a 5-3 win over Boston last night, the Predators flew to Dallas for a “back-to-back” series against the red hot Stars at the American Airlines Center.

Nashville is getting scoring from a number of players in their line-up, and tonight was no different.  Kyle Turris, Kevin Fiala, Calle Jarnkrok, Cody McLeod and Pontus Aberg lit the lamp tonight for Nashville.

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – For the past four seasons Austin Peay basketball player Chris Horton has been one of the best players in Ohio Valley Conference history to not make the postseason, well that all changed February 27th with the Governors earning a spot in the postseason for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

Just how good has Horton been? Well, let’s start with his numbers for Austin Peay.

Heading into his first OVC Tournament game, Horton ranks 10th on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,615 points – just 11 points from tying Trenton Hassell for ninth place — and 30 points behind Anthony Davis for eighth place.
