APSU BaseballRichmond, KY – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team battled back from a three-run deficit but fell 5-4 in 11 innings to Eastern Kentucky, Thursday night, in Ohio Valley Conference action at Earle Combs Stadium

Austin Peay (15-17, 7-9 OVC) fell behind 4-1 after Eastern Kentucky pieced together a three-run fourth inning.

Northwest Vikings have five-game win streak end with 56-52 loss to Cheatham County

 

Northwest High School VikingsDover, TN – Northwest High School’s boys basketball team saw its five-game win streak come to an end, Monday, December 29th at the Bill Craig Memorial Gymnasium in the final day of the Stewart County Rebel Christmas Classic, at the hands of Cheatham County Central High School, 56-52.

The game – although lower scoring than most fans would have thought – was tight the entire way – including Northwest (9-8) tying the game for the final time at 50-50 on an old-fashioned three-point play by JaRyan Young, with 3:11 left.

Kenwood Knights come back in final quarter to hand Cheatham County season’s first loss

 

Kenwood High SchoolServall Termite & Pest ControlClarksville, TN – Kenwood High School rallied from three-points down in the final 5:29, Friday, November 21st, versus Cheatham County High School to hand the Cubs their first loss of the season, 54-47.

Down 42-39 following one-of-two free throws from Cheatham County’s Dallas Mantlo — with 5:29 left in the game — Kenwood (3-2) would hold the Cubs scoreless over the next 4:57, while scoring 10 straight points to take a 49-42 lead with 41.2 seconds left.

Khowst Province, Afghanistan – A steady down pour of rain continues to fall as the combat outpost is busy with the noise of trucks and personnel moving supplies and equipment back and forth. A heavy fog lingers around the area flowing down from the surrounding mountains.

Soldiers pack what they can onto their trucks and into crates, ready to make the journey from Combat Outpost Tera Zeyi to Forward Operating Base Salerno, Afghanistan.
