Clarksville Agencies offer help after Power Outages

Clarksville, TN – Several Clarksville food relief agencies are stepping up to help people who lost food supplies during the weekend’s power outages.
The City of Clarksville Office of Housing and Community Development, which helps provide resources and homeless services, is working with the Community Action Agency, Loaves and Fishes, Manna Café Ministries and Urban Ministries to coordinate the effort.
People in need of food because of spoilage during the power outages should make direct contact with one of these participating agencies:

Clarksville Urban Ministries names CC Carmack-Wheeler as new Executive Director

Clarksville, TN – After a month-long search, Clarksville resident CC Carmack-Wheeler has been named Executive Director of Clarksville Urban Ministries. Carmack-Wheeler steps into the role previously held by Beverly Dycus, who resigned due to health issues in October.
Carmack-Wheeler was chosen from dozens of applicants and brings a wealth of experience to the position.

Clarksville Association of Realtors® Young Professionals Network raises Money For SafeHouse, Mike Groves Memorial Scholarship Fund

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Association of Realtors® Young Professionals Network (CAR YPN) on October 4th, 2018 presented a check for over $65,000 to Urban Ministries’ SafeHouse, and raised over $42,000 for their Mike Groves Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The CAR YPN raised these funds through its hugely successful Handbags for Hope fundraiser which was held on August 4th.
