The Forums, brought to you by Leadership Clarksville and the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce, will air for two weeks on Channel 9 on CDE Lightband and 99 on Charter Communications. Clarksville Hammered by Late Afternoon Storms

 

Severe ThunderstormClarksville, TN – Residents of the City of Clarksville have been hammered by severe thunderstorms  in the late afternoon hours over the previous two days.

On July 4th, the storms hit around 5:00pm and knocked out power to over 7,500 CDE Lightband customers on both sides of Memorial Drive, Richview Road, Indian Hills Drive, Craigmont Boulevard, Fairway Drive, and the Hilldale area. By the next morning CDE was reporting approximately 300 people were still without power. That was until a new line of storms rolled through around 4:00pm on July 5th knocking out electrical power to even more customers. As of the time of publication approximately 351 CDE Lightband customers are still without power.

Fort Campbell hosts Spring Job Fairs

 

101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell’s Army Career and Alumni Program and the Army Community Service Family Employment Readiness Program held back to back jobs fairs, for soldiers, retirees, and their families which saw more than 119 international, national and local employers taking part. Over 4000 people took advantage of the two day event.

Maj. Gen James C. McConville appreciated the opportunity being presented to his soldiers, “Events like this give our well deserving 101st and Fort Campbell Soldiers the opportunity for a “Smooth Takeoff.” We have some of the best trained, disciplined and fit Soldiers in the 101st Airborne Division, and they will certainly contribute to our great nation after they leave the Army.”

Middle Tennessee Job Fair for Veterans set for December 15th
