In addition, each of the 15 varsity teams recorded a 3.0 GPA for the second consecutive semester. “I must commend all of our student-athletes for their accomplishments in the classroom,” said APSU Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison.

Austin Peay State University student-athletes average 3.0 GPA for a record fourth straight semester
A department-record 70 percent of Austin Peay’s 289 varsity student-athletes earned academic honors for the spring semester. The last eight semesters dating back to Fall 2015 have yielded eight of the top-10 semester GPA’s since tracking data began in 1993. APSU Governors student-athletes set department record with 3.15 GPA in Fall 2018APSU Sports Information
For the first time, Austin Peay student-athletes have posted a department-wide GPA of 3.0 or greater in three consecutive semesters. A record 209 student-athletes received academic recognition for the Fall 2018 semester, including 107 recognized on the dean’s list. It’s the third time 100 or more student athletes have been named to the dean’s list.
