Clarksville Police report Whitfield Road restricted to One Lane

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Whitfield Road will be restricted to one lane of Travel until further notice. The Company that owns the Tractor Trailer will be doing clean-up and will have flagmen in place. It is recommended that if you can take another route that citizens do so until the cleanup is over.

The Clarksville Police Department will not be on the scene the Company has taken over control of the traffic.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation celebrates National Trails Day with Greenway clean-up

 

Clarksville GreenwayClarksville, TN – Saturday, June 2nd is National Trails Day! The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department and “Friends of the Clarksville Greenway” are celebrating with a clean-up from 8:00am to 10:00am at the Clarksville Greenway, located at 1101 Pollard Road.

National Trails Day, organized by the American Hiking Society, is celebrated across the country as a way to inspire the public to discover and learn about our nation’s trail system. Those interested in volunteering can contact Melissa Adkins at 931.645.7476

GreenBank to provide lunches to Flood workers

 

On Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 11:00 am until – ??, GreenBank will be providing lunch for those working on the clean up and those affected by the flooding on Riverside Drive.  

There will be a tent set up in their parking lot from which they will serve food and drink. GreenBank is located at 25 Jefferson Street.
