Montgomery County seeks Artists to create overpass Murals

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Public Art Committee seeks to commission an artist to create artwork for a pair of murals for the railroad bridge overpass I-beam crossing Fort Campbell Boulevard between Collier Road and Airport Road.

We envision the north side of the beam facing traffic headed toward Clarksville to have an image/lettering welcoming people to Clarksville, Montgomery County and the south side facing traffic headed to Fort Campbell to have an image/lettering welcoming people to Fort Campbell.

Clarksville Police respond to Motorcycle Fatality on Fort Campbell Boulevard

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, February 23rd, 2018, around 1:30pm, Clarksville Police reports a pickup driven by a woman in her 60s was making a left turn from Collier Road to go southbound on Fort Campbell Boulevard and pulled out in front of a motorcycle, ridden by a man in his 20s, traveling north on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

The motorcycle collided with the pickup.

The motorcyclist died at the scene.

Clarksville Gas and Water announces Fire Hydrant Replacement Work Scheduled

 

Wednesday, May 6th, 2015

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has scheduled fire hydrant replacement work on Wednesday, May 6th, 2015, at midnight on Collier Road. The necessary work will result in a water outage on a section of Fort Campbell Boulevard between Collier Road and Airport Road.

Collier Road and Fort Campbell Boulevard will remain open to traffic during the work.

The fire hydrant replacement is anticipated to be finished and water service restored by approximately 4:00am.

Clarksville Police Make Homicide Arrests

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Wednesday, May 29th, 2013, the Clarksville Police Department made 3 arrests in connection with the May 18th homicide of Jimmy Boyer.  Arrested were Coray Knight 38 years old from Clarksville, Frederick Persinger 65 years old from Clarksville, and Kelly Hufford 45 years old from Oak Grove KY.
