Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans announced today that tight end Jared Cook has been named the 2012 Titans Walter Payton Man of the Year Award winner. Cook was selected by a voting panel that consisted of his teammates, Titans staff, members of the news media and local non-profit and community executives for his dedicated community service.
Cook is now a finalist for the league-wide 2012 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award that will be awarded during Super Bowl week in New Orleans. This prestigious NFL award has been in existence since 1970 and is the only NFL award that honors players who demonstrate outstanding balance in their lives between civic and professional responsibilities.

Third-leading tackler in franchise history signs contract to end career with Titans
Nashville, TN – Linebacker Keith Bulluck announced his retirement from the NFL today as a member of the Tennessee Titans.
Bulluck, who played a total of 11 seasons with the Titans (2000–2009) and New York Giants (2010), signed a contract with the Titans and will formally submit his retirement to the NFL tomorrow.
“Growing up as a foster kid from the age of 12 to 18 in Rockland County (N.Y.), playing football at the collegiate and professional levels was a dream I always had,” Bulluck said. “I earned opportunities to play for Syracuse University, the Tennessee Titans and my hometown New York Giants, and my upbringing allowed me to develop the focus and determination I needed to be successful at each level. Nashville, TN – With the Titans (4-4) at the midpoint of their season, they begin a stretch of three consecutive games against teams from the NFC South this week, traveling to take on the Carolina Panthers (2-6). Kickoff at Bank of America Stadium (capacity 73,504) is scheduled for noon CST on Sunday, November 13th.
There is no current NFL team the Titans/Oilers have played fewer times than the Panthers, as this week will be just the fourth all-time meeting. Carolina, which launched as an expansion franchise in 1995, won the initial matchup in 1996, and the Titans took the two most recent pairings in 2003 and 2007.

Four weeks of practices open to the general public; single-game tickets also on sale July 31st
Nashville, TN — The Tennessee Titans begin training camp in Nashville on Saturday, July 31st. Fans are invited to attend a total of 18 practices during the four-week camp, all free of charge. It is the only time of the year that practices are open to the general public.
Once again this year the Titans will conduct training camp practices at Baptist Sports Park, where the vast majority of the team’s camps have been conducted since the team moved to Tennessee in 1997. The Titans held camp at Tennessee State University from 1997-98, Baptist Sports Park’s Bellevue location in 1999 and their current facility in MetroCenter since 2000 (other than two weeks of camp in 2006 at Austin Peay State University). «Read the rest of this article»
