Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday morning, February 9th, at 10:50am, a crash that left traffic snarled on Riverside Drive at the North Second Street intersection will not be difficult to investigate because the nearest eyewitness was a Clarksville Police Department Traffic Unit officer.

“I was sitting right here at the red light and saw it happen,” stated Officer Derrick Cronk.

Clarksville Police reports Child Struck by Car on A Street

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police and Montgomery County paramedics were dispatched to the 100 block of A Street at 7:53pm in response to an E911 call regarding a child who had been struck by a vehicle.

A three-year-old boy who lives at the residence was reportedly run over in the driveway by the car of a relative.  A Spanish-speaking officer was also dispatched to the scene to assist with the investigation. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarkville Police Investigating Two Separate, But Related Bus Crashes at the Same Location

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are investigating two separate accidents involving school buses. The first school bus crash occurred December 14th, 2012, around 7:11am.

A school bus was stopped eastbound on Dunbar Cave Road near the intersection of Warfield Boulevard when a Mercury Mountaineer driven by a 16 year old female could not stop in time and crashed into the rear-end of the bus. There was a total of 57 students aboard the bus.

Motorcyclist Extremely Critical After a Crash with a Car

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On July 5th, 2011, around 12:47pm, a 2008 Nissan Versa, driven by Kimberly McDonald, 29, of Woodlawn TN was making a left turn out of Man-of-War Road, crossing the east bound lanes of Tiny Town Road.

She did not see and crossed into the path of an oncoming 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling east on Tiny Town Road, ridden by Joshua Higgs, 21, of Clarksville.

CPD Needs Help Identifying an Unknown Deceased Woman

 

Woman Possibly Struck by a Motor Vehicle

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department needs the public’s assistance in a death investigation. On May 27th, around 4:02am, an unknown woman was spotted by a passerby laying in a grassy area at the intersection of Dover Road and Charlemagne Blvd. She had sustained multiple injuries, was transported to Gateway by ambulance, and died at the hospital around 7:00am.

The unknown woman is believed to have been walking in the westbound lane of Dover Road when an unknown vehicle struck the woman knocking her into the grassy area. The vehicle then left the scene.

Car accident on the 41A Bypass

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On May 9th, 2011 at 1:20am, on the 41A Bypass near Queens Bluff, a Hyundai Elantra driven by Jason Hallman, 38, was traveling south on the 41 A Bypass, left the roadway, traveled over 200 feet, flipped multiple times, and came to rest back on the roadway.

Head-on Collision Sends Four to the Hospital

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On March 30th, 2011, around 12:33pm, a 98 Chevy Blazer, driven by Valarie Cody, 32, of Clarksville with her one year old male child as a passenger was traveling in the left lane northbound on Providence Blvd, had her attention diverted when she tried to answer a cell phone, crossed into the southbound lane, and collided head-on (around 819 Providence Blvd) with a 2005 Suzuki XL7, driven by Cyrus Milan, 44 of Georgia, who also had a passenger, James Williams, 46 of Clarksville.

Clarksville Police DepartmentThe Clarksville Police Department received first place in The Tennessee Department of Transportation Governor’s Highway Safety Office’s 6th Annual Law Enforcement Challenge. September 10th. The Police Department was in the 201-500 Officer category.
