Tennessee Vols Football loses to Missouri at home, 50-17

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – It was a back-and-forth affair into the third quarter, but Tennessee was unable to keep pace with a potent Missouri attack in a 50-17 loss in front of a crowd of 88,224 on Saturday at Neyland Stadium.
 
Sophomore running back Ty Chandler rushed for a pair of scores and 82 yards on 14 carries to lead the Vols’ offense. Redshirt senior Keller Chryst came on for the injured Jarrett Guarantano at quarterback and passed for 173 yards, including a pair of 49-yard tosses to junior wide receiver Marquez Callaway.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Coming off a marquee win over No. 11 Kentucky last Saturday, Tennessee will look to win its third straight and become bowl eligible this Saturday as Missouri visits Neyland Stadium.

Kickoff for UT’s final home game of 2018 is set for 2:30pm CT on CBS. Brad Nessler (play-by-play) and Gary Danielson (analyst) will have the call with Jamie Erdahl reporting from the sidelines. Vol Network radio affiliates will have a live audio broadcast with Bob Kesling, Tim Priest and Brent Hubbs. Sirius (Channel 94) and XM satellite radio (Channel 192) will also carry the game.

Saturday will also be Senior Day for the Vols as they will honor their 13 seniors prior to kickoff.

Tennessee Vols lose at Missouri, 50-17

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsColumbia, MO – The Tennessee Volunteers dropped their final road SEC game of the season, 50-17, on Saturday night to Missouri as true freshman quarterback Will McBride made his first career start for the Big Orange.

Tennessee (4-6, 0-6 SEC) now holds a 2-4 all-time record against Missouri (5-5, 2-4 SEC), including a 1-2 record in Columbia.
 
In his first start, McBride completed 16 of 32 passes for 139 yards and rushed for 63 yards on 14 carries. He’s the first Tennessee quarterback to lead the team in rushing yards since VFL Joshua Dobbs ran for a team-high 118 yards against Nebraska in the Music City Bowl on December 30th, 2016.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee wraps its regular-season road schedule on Saturday when the Vols head to Columbia to play Missouri at Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium. The game will feature a 6:30pm CT kickoff on SEC Network.

Tom Hart (play-by-play) and Jordan Rodgers (analyst) will be in the booth and Cole Cubelic will report from the sidelines. Vol Network radio affiliates will have a live audio broadcast with Bob Kesling, Tim Priest and Brent Hubbs. Sirius Channel 157 and XM Channel 191 will also carry a live audio broadcast.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee celebrates Senior Day on Saturday as it closes out its home schedule against Missouri at 2:30pm CT at Neyland Stadium.

Saturday’s game will be broadcast on CBS with Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson in the booth and Allie LaForce reporting from the sidelines.

Tennessee (7-3, 3-3 SEC) will be making its fifth appearance on the SEC on CBS Game of the Week this season, its most since 1998 when it made six regular season appearances on the network. Earlier this season, the Vols are the first team in history to be featured on CBS in four straight weeks.
